"Tommy the Greek" Tommy of Great Neck passed away at North Shore University Hospital on March 21, 2002. He was born in Galaxithi, Greece on April 26, 1922. He was a great short order cook and used his culinary talents in many restaurants in Queens, Bronx and Great Neck area. After retirement Tommy's greatest joy was walking all over Great Neck and the NY Mets. An avid Met fan, Tommy would always let you know when it was game time by pointing to his watch. He was always there to watch and cheer for the Mets. He will be missed by all his family and friends. Tommy is survived by his two children, Peter Vasiliou of Spring Hill, FL, and Anthea Teufel of Ft. Myers, FL; three grandchildren, Adam Teufel of Arlington, VA, Nicole Teufel of Miami, FL, and Tommy Vasiliou of Spring Hill. Arrangements were made by Riverside-Nassau North Chapels, Great Neck.
