Donors Sought in Bone Marrow Drives
On Sunday, Jan. 6, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., a bone marrow matching drive will be held at the Lake Success Village Hall, 15 Vanderbilt Drive, second floor. The purpose of the drive is to locate a marrow match that will save the life of Ruth Spector, a 41-year-old mother of three who has recently been diagnosed with acute myelogenous leukemia.

Gloria Linares, a Great Neck cosmetologist and athlete, carried the Olympic torch for the Salt Lake 2002 Olympic Torch Relay at a ceremony at the Brooklyn Museum of Art on Dec. 23. The event was carried by Channel 4.
