Susan Petersen Lubow

Susan Petersen Lubow, head of the Department of Physical Education and Athletics at Kings Point, was honored recently by the March of Dimes at the Fifth Annual Golden Apple Awards Dinner. The awards were created to recognize and honor outstanding individuals who have made a difference on Long Island through their commitment to education.

Lubow's academy appointment marked the first time that a female has held the position of director of athletics at any of the United States Federal Academies.

The March of Dimes is a national voluntary health organization whose mission is to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects and infant mortality.
