Chabad Nursery School Plans Temporarily Stalled
The nursery school that is being proposed by Chabad of Great Neck, to be established at 117 Cuttermill Road, is in its final stages of approval from the Village of Great Neck Estates. At the public hearing on Dec. 11, Mayor Edward Causin announced that the Final Environmental Impact Statement (FEIS), after having been accepted by the Estates board of trustees, did not win approval from the Nassau County Planning Commission.

Kings Point U.S. Merchant Marine Academy Weekly Update
The United States Merchant Marine Academy men's basketball team got back on track last week with two Skyline Conference wins over Yeshiva and SUNY Old Westbury. The Mariners now stand at 4-5 overall and a perfect 3-0 in Conference action heading into the winter recess. Kings Point will play next at Mt. St. Vincent on Jan. 6.

The Great Neck Unit of the Police Activity League will hold spring registration next month for girls softball, Kindergarten through eighth grade; co-ed baseball, Kindergarten through eighth grade; and baseball camp for Kindergarten through fifth grade on April 9, 10, and 11.
