Daniel C. Frankel of Great Neck volunteered as a Standard Bearer for 36 holes of the 2000 PGA Buick Classic. Daniel worked with Craig Stadler and "Lefty" Steve Flesch, behind PGA Tour Great Davis Love III and in front of Young phenom Sergio Garcia. He was responsible for posting accurate scores and displaying them to the gallery of thousands during two 18-hole rounds in plus 90 degree heat.

Then Buick Classic donates all of its profits to local charities including the New York United Hospital Medical Center in Port Chester. The tournament relies heavily on the support of volunteers and its success depends on the commitment of three dedicated individuals.

Twelve-year-old Daniel Frankel is a member of the North/South High School Varsity Golf Team and has entered to play in 15 Met Junior PGA events this summer.
