On the evening of Sept. 30, 140 juniors at South High and their parents turned out to hear a panel of five experts inform them of the serious consequences of underage, illegal driving. New York State has a graduated system of licensing that limits driving privileges in an effort to give teens needed experience behind the wheel while at the same time protecting them from more risky situations such as night driving and driving with the distraction of friends.
