  • NEWS: Seven Great Neck Intel Semifinalists

    Three seniors from Great Neck North High School and four from Great Neck South High School are among 300 semifinalists nationwide in the 58th Annual Science Talent Search, which is now sponsored by Intel, the world's largest computer-chip manufacturer. The Science Talent Search, which had been sponsored by Westinghouse for 57 years, is often considered the "Nobel Prize" of science competitions for U.S. high school seniors. FULL STORY

  • NEWS: Plaza Parking Meters All Twenty-five Cents

    All parking meters in Great Neck Plaza---meters in municipal lots and in garages---will now all be 25 cents. At its Jan. 6 board of trustees' meeting, the Village of Great Neck Plaza passed a law making all of its parking meters the same. FULL STORY

    The Mariners of the US Merchant Marine Academy posted a 1-1 record last week with a non-conference loss to Nazareth College and a skyline Conference victory over the Mt. St. Vincent Dolphins.
