First year girls Coach Tim Ngyuen, who is the boy's volleyball coach, took over a team that did not win a match last year and this year the team hit the win column four times. The girls team finished the season with a 4-12 record. The wins came against Glen Cove, Malvern, Jericho, and Roosevelt. "There was a feeling of togetherness, and a real team unity," stated Captain Rachel Hoffman. There was a higher degree of intensity and focus this year Hoffman also noted. Senior Stephanie Mazepa who is a transfer from Suffolk County was the other captain.

"We improved a lot; we had a lot of fun and we were more competitive," stated Sophomore Diana Myint. There were matches that went to five games and the North Blazers ended their season with optimism. Other members of the team are seniors Valerie Abitol, Taylor Salzman, and Tracey Blaine. The juniors consisted of Alexander Bozovic, Erin Hugger, and Jessica Goltche. The sophomores are Lindsay Demast, Ali Moss, and Tracey Grossman.

The junior varsity team under the coaching of Kathy Lomagistro ended their season with a 14-2 record. With 8 sophomores and 4 freshman , the team next year looks to continue to improve.
