At the Sept. 28 Great Neck Park District Board meeting, the board of commissioners unanimously passed the proposed budget for 1999, and announced that further work will be done on the proposed bond issue prior to submitting it to the Town of North Hempstead. The Great Neck North Girls Cross Country team under Coach Adam McKenzie is underway. North opened their season at Bear Mountain to run into the Suffern Invitation Sept. 19. Sophomore Dalia Yadegar led North with a time of 24:27 and a 72-place finish. Sophomore Kathy Aghalarpour was next with a time of 26:33.
