    Great Neck's Vigilant Fire Corp. recently honored the Great Neck Estates and Kensington police forces with unit citations, praising police efforts at assistance at a fire in June. The Great Neck Estates and Kensington police began evacuating a burning building at 160 Middle Neck Road even before the firefighters arrived.

  • GREAT NECK SPORTS: North Tennis Ends Season at Playoffs

    The Great Neck North girls tennis team ended its season with a loss to Hewlett four matches to three in the semifinals of the Nassau County team championships Monday, Oct. 27. North played Hewlett for the third time this season. North lost to Hewlett in their first meeting five matches to two Sept. 26, but beat Hewlett 4-3 Oct. 22, and was facing Hewlett for the county championships semifinal round.
