Everyone should feel proud of what took place at the Loggia 1016 on July 2. I sure did.
The work of Loggia President Joseph Gallo, the scholarship committee, and the Loggia membership made a difference in the lives of 10 remarkable students that night.
Listening to them accept their awards and hearing from Kathy Grande about their accomplishments and aspirations was inspirational, to say the least.
Love of the Italian experience, the Italian language, its rich culture and love of family, was the focus of their essays. Their sincerity came through in their words.
On behalf of the New York State Assembly, congratulations go to these 10 young men and women as they start on their college careers: Daniella Joyce, Joseph Stanco, Robert Ottaviano III, Samantha Di
Paolo, Erika Van Patten, Stela Ieraci, Sarah Hall, Morgan Di Martini, Samantha N. Speziale, and Brittany A. Grella.
They are a credit to their families, their high schools, their communities, and to Loggia 1016.
