In a unanimous vote, the Glen Cove Council of PTAs has officially endorsed the proposed 2014/2015 Glen Cove School Budget. Immediately following several presentations of this budget, each PTA unit conducted a vote and every unit unanimously agreed to support the proposed budget.
The Council of PTAs is the coordinating body of all our school district’s Parents Teachers Associations, which is comprised of units from Glen Cove High School, Finley Middle School, Connolly, Landing, Deasy and Gribbin Elementary Schools, as well as Glen Cove SEPTA (Special Education Parents Teachers Association).
It is obvious that the Glen Cove Board of Education and administration have worked hard on this budget keeping in mind their fiduciary and education responsibilities. It is important for our parents to come out and vote on Tuesday, May 20th. It is important to remember that your vote is your voice. A non-vote is a no vote.
The proposed 2014/2015 budget maintains and enhances current programs with a strong commitment to improve student performance and provides for a variety of extracurricular activities. The budget ensures our children and staff with a safe learning environment and maintains long term financial stability.
Voting is on May 20, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. The Glen Cove Council of PTAs encourages you to take an active role in deciding the quality of education provided by our district. Vote YES on May 20.
