I would like to take this opportunity to personally thank the residents of Glen Cove for electing me to serve as one of the newest members of the Glen Cove City Council. I am thankful for your overwhelming support and look forward to serving you and our community. For those of you that did not vote for me, I plan to work hard and hope to earn your future support.
During this holiday season, I encourage all of us to remember that regardless of political persuasion, we are all united in our hopes for a better Glen Cove. As a first generation American, I understand sacrifice and the hard work needed to achieve success. You have entrusted me with your vote and in return I will not forget my solemn obligation to fight for you – the hard working tax payer.
There is much work to be done. We need to balance the budget, attract new businesses, partner with our schools and continue to care for our seniors. Yesterday is behind us. We look to the future with vision and hope of a better tomorrow. Our future is bright but no one person can do it alone. Be informed, get involved, and together we can make a difference!
I would like to thank my wife, mom and dad, my extended family, and all my friends that worked so hard on my behalf and of course all those that volunteered on the campaign. Special thanks to those in my inner circle. Your encouragement and invaluable advice will always be remembered.
I would also like to thank Mayor Ralph Suozzi for his years of dedication and service to our city. I look forward to working with the newly elected mayor, Reginald Spinello, and my colleagues on the Glen Cove City Council.
Most importantly, I would like to thank God for His strength and abundant grace.
Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah.
Councilman Elect, Efraim Spagnoletti
City of Glen Cove
