I am shocked and saddened to learn of the vandalism that occurred at the Sea Cliff Methodist Church Pumpkin Patch. When my children were younger, my husband and I would meticulously plan when and where (East or upstate?) to go pumpkin picking. This was a memory that we treasured!
For some reason, I was never aware of this great service the Church provided. Several years ago, I saw a sign for the Pumpkin Patch and thought it was such a fabulous idea that we had to try it. It certainly did not disappoint - there was an enormous selection of affordably priced pumpkins and the volunteers who worked there were so kind and helpful.
Never again would I have to travel to go pumpkin picking! Even though my children are teenagers, we always make it a priority to get our pumpkins from the Church. I truly hope that this incident will not ruin this wonderful experience for those in the community who cherish it!
