He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Glenna Miller Manley, and his sister, Eleanor Coleman. Bob is survived by three daughters: Virginia Schultz of Painted Post, NY and husband Jeffrey; Margie Urbas of Evergreen, CO; and Ellen McGuire of Wilmington, NC and husband Edward. He is also survived by his sister, Martha Moffitt of McMurray, PA and husband Roy, as well as 10 grandchildren: Robert, Kyle, Andrew and Kristina Schultz; Eric, Elise and Elaine McGuire; and Liv, Ian and Val Urbas.
Prior to retiring to Pinehurst, NC in 1989, Bob resided in Old Brookville. He was self-employed for 42 years as an independent sales/marketing representative in the medical/surgical field.
Bob was a past elder in the Presbyterian Church, a 33nd degree Mason since 1948, a life member of Glen Cove Lodge #580 F. and A.M. as well as a life member of Kismet Shrine Temple in New Hyde Park. He was also a charter member of the Artists League of the Sandhills and a member of Pinehurst Country Club. He was a golfer, amateur artist, a bird carver, and an accomplished bagpiper, performing for many charitable and sporting events, celebrity functions, and parades.
