Obituary: Marie Poole Ceglia

Marie Poole Ceglia, 85, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2012, at her residence. She was born on May 1, 1927, in Raleigh, NC, daughter of Hubert Royster Poole and Zula Layton Poole. She is remembered by her best friend and fiancé, John Ferguson, of Raleigh; her daughters, Anita Price and her husband Donald of Raleigh, and Deborah Ceglia of New York; her son Phillip Anthony “Tony” Ceglia and his wife Mary Ann of Georgia. She will be dearly missed by her grandchildren, Adam and his wife Amy, Bobby and Lisa; and great-grandchildren, Christian, Luke, Jacob, Shannon and Amber. Marie will also be deeply missed by her sisters, Shirley Journigan and her husband Sid of Raleigh, Barbara Barham and her husband JT of Durham and Ella Riggs and her husband Jack of Raleigh and many other nieces and nephews. Marie was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Robert Louis Ceglia and her sister, Edna Ferrell. Arrangements by Dodge-Thomas Funeral Home, Glen Cove. Interment Calverton National Cemetery.
