Obituary: Walter J. Moretto Jr.

Walter J. Moretto Jr., of Quakertown, PA, formerly of Glen Cove, passed away peacefully at home on April 29, 2012 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Beloved husband and best friend of Barbara (Banach). Loving father of Walter III (Kate), Alison (Jim) Dankel, Amanda (Ken) Hapgood and Kaitlin. Cherished grandpa of Maggie, Ella, Helene and Gavin. Devoted son of Walter J. Moretto Sr. and the late Joan and son-in-law to Harry K. Banach and the late Magdalene. Cherished brother of Lauree (William Lurcott) and the late Mark Moretto. Dear brother-in-law of MaryAnn Banach and Stephanie (the late Hank) Banach. Treasured uncle and friend. Retired police detective for the City of Glen Cove and special deputy United States marshal where he performed his duties with integrity, professionalism and passion.
