Mary Jane Gederberg

Mary Jane Gederberg (nee Kenyon), former resident of Sea Cliff and Locust Valley, passed away on May 23, 2009 in Estero, FL, after a long illness. Her love for children and her many creative talents inspired her to pursue a degree in early childhood education which she earned at Kent State in 1965. She taught third grade at the Vernon School in the East Norwich-Oyster Bay School District and other pre-K and early ed classes on Long Island.
Mary Jane is survived by her beloved husband Neil T.; son Michael; grandson Thomas; sister Joan; niece Deborah; and her sister Cynthia (Sebastian). A memorial Mass will be held on June 12 at 6 p.m. at Our Lady of Light Catholic Community Church in Ft. Myers, FL. Mary Jane will be missed by all who knew her.

Grandmother of Kareem, Dennis, Deshawn, Ramish, Rashad, Menesha, Iregna, Melody, Brittany and Anandi. Great-grandmother of four. Daughter of the late Owen Fuller and Winifred Cigorns. Also survived by her close friends, Tia Goodrich, Joanne and Jeremy Sasso, Marie Rocco and Doug Stoer. Arrangements were made by Oyster Bay Funeral Home. Funeral services were held at funeral home. Interment Pine Hollow Cemetery.

Joseph Paul Veroxie passed away on May 9, 2009 in Logan, UT. He was born in Glen Cove on July 5, 1945 and was a resident of Glen Cove for most of his life. He is survived by his loving wife JoAnne; sister Jane Veroxie-Nyquist (Peter); aunts, Helen Veroxie, Doris Burns (John) and Joan Mynarkiewicz. A funeral service was held at Nelson Funeral Home. Interment Utah Memorial Park in Riverton, UT, with military honors for his service in Korea.

Alfred A. Anuszewski Sr. died on May 20, 2009 at the age of 91. He was born in Brooklyn and was a longtime resident of Roslyn. He was a proud worker for Grumman for 35 years who worked on the Lunar Excursion Module. He was also a gardener and spice grower. Husband of Tessie. Father of John, Janice, Anne Marie, Alfred Jr. and Christina. Cherished grandfather of four and great-grandfather of three. Arrangements were made by the Whitting Funeral Home, Glen Head.
