Annabelle Caroline Cobb Lepanto
Annabelle Caroline Cobb Lepanto, 78, former resident of Glen Cove, died June 5, 2010 in The Woodlands, TX. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur. She is survived by her daughters, Janet Lepanto and husband Richard Metzinger, Joanne Lepanto and husband Craig R. Roach, Jeanette Urke and husband Eric, Jennifer Ferrara and husband Joseph; and her granddaughter Jeanette Ferrara. Annabelle was a former president of the Glen Cove Hospital Auxiliary and a former churchwarden at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Glen Cove.

Frank Lo Piccolo, of Glen Cove, died on June 26, 2010. Beloved husband of Rose. Devoted father of Antoinette (Omar) Patino. Loving nonno of Nicholas, Andrew and Gabrielle. John E. “Red” Dolan, of Sharon Springs, NY, and formerly of Glen Cove, died on June 24, 2010 at age 66. Beloved husband of Beverly (nee Cekala). Loving father of John (Susan) and Denise. Dear brother of Brian (Danuta). Proud grandfather of John Casey, Kelly and Cassidy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. He was a member and past governor of Royal Order of Moose, Glen Cove. Anna Fecci, of Glen Head, died on June 24, 2010 in her 100th year. Beloved wife of the late Peter. Loving mother of Helen Gilcrest (Charles) and the late Marie Egbertson (the late Charles). Cherished grandmother of six and great-grandmother of 11. She was a 35-year member of the Golden Ring. Arrangements were made by the Whitting Funeral Home, Glen Head. Joan Marie Carlstrom (nee Conologue), of Glen Cove, died on June 24, 2010. Joan was an active member of the Glen Head Garden Club and life long parishioner and Eucharistic Minister of St. Patrick’s Church. Beloved wife of the late Ralph N. Devoted mother of Craig B. Margaret Newell, of Universal, IN, formerly from Glen Cove, died in her 87th year on June 19, 2010. Beloved wife of James Newell. Loving mother of Sherry Blumhagen (late Robert) of Toby Hanna, PA, Richard Newell (Becky) of Universal, IN, Janet Phillips (Thomas) of Bayville. Loving grandmother of six, great-grandmother of seven, great-great-grandmother of one. Sister of Dorothy Porcari of Pembroke, FL. She was known for her loving care and rescue of homeless animals and her beautiful flower gardens that she shared with countless friends.
Louis J. Scuteri
Louis J. Scuteri, son of the late Charles and Mary Scuteri, of Glen Cove, passed away on May 28, 2010 at age 84. Beloved husband of Helen. Father of Marc (Annette) Robert (Patricia). Grandfather of Brielle, Paige and Emily. Brother of Teresa Baker, Ann Scuteri, Doris Bodnar and the late Joseph Scuteri.
Louis was a WWII veteran having served as master sergeant in the Philippines. Upon being discharged, he graduated from Hofstra College and Brooklyn College. He was a former guidance counselor and wrestling coach at Glen Cove High School and principal of the Glen Cove Middle School. Upon retirement, he was the administrator for the Little Village House in Port Washington.
A funeral was held at the Whitting Funeral Home. Interment private.
Doris A. Taylor
Doris A. (Uhlendorf) Taylor died suddenly on May 31, 2010 in her 87th year. She was a descendent of Joseph Carpenter, founder of Glen Cove and granddaughter of Frank Ludlam, owner of many Glen Cove properties and properties across Long Island. She was born and raised in Glen Cove and became school nurse at St. Patrick’s School until her retirement and move to Virginia with her daughter Tracey. She was a member of the Underhill Society and the DAR. She and her daughter and grandson had recently moved to New Jersey. Her daughter Tracey L. Morro predeceased her. She is survived by her grandson Dillan Morro. She is also survived by her sister Jane U. Kempsell of Virginia and brother Frank L. Uhlendorf of Glen Cove. Cousins of Carolyn Kuehn of Roslyn and Alvin Kuehn of Virginia. Interment private.
