Ina Catherine Renaldo Nodine passed away quietly in her sleep Sunday, Sept. 1, 2013, at age 76, in her home in St. Augustine Fla. She was loved and admired by all her family and friends. Ina was born in Glen Cove, and has resided in St. Augustine for the past 23 years.

Domenic Cicatiello, of Glen Head, died on Sept. 15, 2013. Beloved husband of Sandra. Devoted son of Rosa. Loving brother of Angela (Antimo) DiSpirito and the late Felix. Stacia B. Koslow (née Burnoski) of Glen Head, died on Sept. 8, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Stanley L. Loving mother of Barbara J. of Glen Rock, NJ, and John D. (Veronica) of Glen Head.

Cherished grandmother of Michael Tavani (Meghan), Adrienne, Lauren, John Thomas and Elizabeth Koslow. Daughter of Anthony and Anna Burnoski, founding members of St. Hyacinth R.C. Church, originally located in Glen Cove. She is predeceased by her brothers Stanley, Joseph, Anthony and sisters Josephine, May and Florence. Retired from the development department of Friends Academy, Locust Valley, since 1989. She celebrated her nintieth birthday on Aug. 29, and will be greatly missed by her family, friends and the wild birds she loved. Obituary: Alexander Patrick

 

Alexander (Ike) Patrick of Cocoa Beach, FL, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013. He was born in Glen Cove on June 1, 1928 and moved to Florida in 2003. Ike was drafted into the Army in November 1951 and was a retired member of Teamsters Local 282. He also owned and operated a fishing and tackle station, as well as a charter boat in Glen Cove, the “Stones.” He survived by his wife of 49 years, Roberta Hughes Patrick; sister-in-law Agnes Trabulsi; cousin Edna Shotwell; and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. He is predeceased by his sister Elsie Patrick Fyke and his brother Charles Patrick. His laugh will always be remembered.

Obituary: Margaret Geraldine Hershenhart

Margaret Geraldine Hershenhart (nee Ferrarie) a long time resident of Sea Cliff, died on Sept. 10, 2013. Born in NYC in 1923. She was a lifelong artist who graduated Cooper Union School of Art, and also graduated from Queens College. She sold real estate and was active in political organizations such as the League of Women Voters and SANE. She was smart, creative and funny; she loved gardening and a good argument. She is survived by her daughter Alyce; sisters-in-law Margaret Ferrarie and Patricia Ferrarie and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her parents Frank and Armida Ferrarie, her siblings Marie, Robert and Arthur Ferrarie and her son Paul Hershenhart. Obituary: Peter X. McCarthy

Peter McCarthy, of New Smyrna Beach, Florida, formerly of Glen Cove, died on Sept. 5, 2013, at the age of 58, after a 10 month battle with lung cancer. He is survived by his loving wife Cindy, his devoted children, Zack and Amanda, and his siblings Leslie, Jack (Barbara), and Chris (Pat). Peter was the youngest and will be sorely missed by his family. Knowing his suffering is over has brought peace to Peter and all who knew him.

Peter grew up in Glen Cove and even after relocating for business, remained a loyal friend to many in town.  One of his best friends, John Morse, came to Florida to bid him a final good bye.
