Richard “Dick” Manuel passed away Feb. 1, 2010 after a struggle with lymphoma. He was 82 years old. Son of Emma Softy and Charles Nelson (both deceased). He is survived by his wife Marjorie; two sons, John and Bill; daughter Pat Saboda (Jeff); grandsons, Matt and Kyle; and his brother Thomas and family in Bryn Mawr, PA.
The first of three children (Kathryn (deceased) and Thomas), he grew up in Sea Cliff, on Hempstead Harbor on Long Island Sound where the Manuel family resided for two generations. Dick developed a love of sailing which he pursued his entire life.

Maryanna Kronborg Mills
Maryanna Kronborg Mills, late of this community, died on March 7, 2010 in Syracuse. A resident of Glen Head for 47 years, she taught elementary Art for the Syosset Schools for 24 years and was an active member who also served in a number of leadership roles in the First Presbyterian Church of Glen Cove. She received her B.A. in Art from MacMurray College and her M.A. in English Literature from C.W. Post College. In retirement, she continued as a watercolorist and won the Long Island Award for Senior Citizens and was commissioned by the Danish Brotherhood to paint a watercolor for reproduction to commemorate the end of WWII as Danes experienced it.
She was predeceased by her husband Dr. James Mills in 2003. Her survivors include her sons, Kaj (Shirley), Kris (Robin) and her foster son Kevin (Ingrid); 5 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren,;and 2 nephews.
Services were held March 13 in Fayetteville, NY. Contributions may be sent to Hospice of Central New York, 990 North St, Liverpool, NY.
