Alan Cohen, husband, father, and graduate of Roslyn High School, has an aggressive form of leukemia, and is in urgent need of a bone marrow transplant.
The best chance for a match will be in Jews of Ashkenazic descent. Alan is one out of thousands of patients in need of a bone marrow transplant and you could be their only hope.
To help Alan, and many other patients like him, join the Gift for Life Registry as a potential bone marrow donor by filling out a consent form and doing a simple cheek cell swab to see if you are a match with him or any other patient in need (must be between the ages of 18 and 60).
It will be held this Sunday, Nov. 15 from 9 a.m. to noon at the Reconstructionist Synagogue of the North Shore, 1001 Plandome Road, Plandome.
