The chilly weather didn’t put a damper on the St. Patrick’s Day parade in Glen Cove. Hundreds of residents lined the streets, some huddled under blankets, many clad in green to show their Irish spirit. The 25th annual parade, sponsored by the Glen Cove Ancient Order of Hibernians Mike Moran Division 8, is a tradition for the community, with local Girl Scout and Boy Scout troops, fire departments, clubs, organizations and bagpipers proudly marching through the city streets. A leprechaun and Easter bunny were also part of the festivities to toss candy to the kids.
