In celebration of the start of the interior restoration of the 1907 Justice Court building the North Shore Historical Museum has announced a “Turn on the Heat” Sunset Cocktail Party on Saturday, Sept. 25 at 6 p.m., at the Sea Cliff Yacht Club.
The restoration of the exterior of the historic Court building, the Museum’s future home, has been virtually completed and the restoration of the building’s interior is ready to begin.
Brian Mercadante, president of the Museum said, “We are very pleased with the restoration already completed on this wonderful building and our Sunset Cocktail party is an event to celebrate the beginning of the interior restoration. When the restoration is completed and the Museum is housed in this incredible structure, it will be another addition to the remarkable historic North Shore, Gold Coast sites and a perfect destination for visitors to the City of Glen Cove.”
Reservations for the “Turn on the Heat” event can be made by calling 676 4946. Cost for the event is $55 per person and all funds received go toward the interior restoration.
The North Shore Historical Museum has been charted by the NY State Department of Education to collect and exhibit artifacts and archives of Long Island’s North Shore. For membership and further information visit our website at www.northshorehistoricalmuseum.org or call 759-6907.
