Tree of Lights Ceremony

To honor family or friends, to celebrate a birth, or to remember a loved one this holiday season, the annual Tree of Lights Ceremony at Glen Cove Hospital will be held at 4 p.m., outside the hospital’s main entrance, 101 St. Andrews Ln. A light will shine on a 25-foot evergreen tree for each individual honored or remembered. The tree will remain lit as a symbol of hope and love throughout the holiday season. The names of all enrolled in the ceremony will be listed in the lobby of the hospital. Sponsored by the hospital’s auxiliary, the free event will include music, caroling and refreshments. To honor a family member, friend or colleague there is a $5 donation for each name. Call 674-7365. All proceeds will go towards the Auxiliary’s pledge for the construction of the Breast Care Unit at Glen Cove Hospital.

Defensive Driving Class

The Gold Coast Lions Club is continuing its series of Defensive Driving Classes. The cost is $40 per person. Checks are payable to the Gold Coast Lions Club, PO Box 25, Sea Cliff, NY 11579-0025.
