The Holocaust Memorial and Tolerance Center of NC, 100 Crescent Beach Rd. Glen Cove. An exhibit of photographs and artifacts honoring Abdol-Hossein Sardari, the Iranian Envoy stationed in Paris who rescued thousands of Jews from the Nazis in parallel fashion to the famous rescue efforts of Oskar Schindler in Poland, will be on display in the center’s museum through December.
The center is open Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday-Sunday from noon to 4 p.m. Suggested donation: $10 adults; $5 seniors (65+); $4 students. Docent-led tours are available at no additional charge. Call 571-8040 or go to www.holocaust-nassau.org.
