Nassau Pops Concert

The Nassau Pops Orchestra, featuring Conductor Louis Panacciulli, will perform an outdoor concert of the best in popular and light classical music. Joining the Nassau Pops are singers Jack and Ann Cassin who will present favorite selections from Broadway. 7:30 p.m. at Morgan Park, Glen Cove. Rain or shine. The park is handicapped accessible. Dahlia Club Meeting and Class

How to get larger, better flowers and a more shapely dahlia plant will be the topic of the 7 p.m. Dahlias 101 class. The 8 p.m. meeting will focus on harmful insects that are attracted to dahlias and how to deal with them effectively. Mercy League Trip

Morgan Park Summer Music Festival

Free concerts begin at 7:30 p.m. at Morgan Park, Glen Cove:

•July 11: Young performers in concert featuring 2009 Talent Competition winners with guest appearances by past winners.

•July 12: United States Navy Concert Band from Newport, RI.

Mercy League Trip

Renault Winery and overnight at Atlantic City’s Resorts Casino. The Glen Cove, Hicksville, Syosset Mercy League is going on Aug. 11 and 12 on this fun overnight. The trip includes a tour of the Renault Winery with luncheon, dancing and open bar at the winery. The on to Resorts Casino for the overnight stay.
