"Come down and show your support!" said a fan. The North Shore's Boy's Baseball team started their season on Tuesday, March 31 with an impressive win over Jericho. Freshman Amanda Johansen, sophomore Lauren Janelli and junior Kathleen Lennon have taken control of the midfield along with sophomore Sam Grabher. The team was led by Peter Filippi, Jon Pirozzi and Eric Michalak, who shot the three lowest rounds for North Shore. The team gets another shot at Jericho next week in a home match at Brookville Country Club. North Shore's Varsity Tennis Team opened its season on the road against Clarke. Due to inclement weather on Wednesday, the Vikings had to wait an extra day and travel instead of playing at North Shore. Unfortunately, the Vikings were not up to the task and lost 2-5. Securing victories for North Shore were the doubles team of Andie Ferreira and Tanner Korponay at first doubles and Mitch Goidel and Ryan Kianofsky at third doubles. Dylan Talcott played extremely well in a loss to all-county player Evan Pincus in three sets. North Shore looks to rebound this week with two matches. They are hoping the weather will hold up.
