At the final Glen Cove City Council meeting of 2008 held on Tuesday, Dec. 23, Mayor Ralph V. Suozzi and the City Council voted pro forma to renew annual contracts with various professionals, as well as voting in favor of contracts with New York State and Nassau County with regard to youth services for the coming year. This week the men's bowling team faced matchups against Carle Place and Sewanhaka in a position round. The Vikings ended the week 1 and 1, with an overall season record of 4 - 2. The team had no trouble knocking off Carle Place but was defeated by Sewanhaka later in the week. FULL STORY

This season saw the start of the eighth-grade volleyball team that had previously been a combined seventh- and eighth-grade team. The girls and Coach Gow are very excited about this new venture even though they will be playing teams who played together in seventh grade last year. FULL STORY
