The St. Patrick's CYO team is preparing for its eighth season and is looking forward to another great year. This past spring, the team competed in six meets throughout Long Island. In the fall they competed in the CYO Fall Championship at Mitchell Field. The cross-country team had a great season and was able to qualify 16 runners to compete in the Northeast USA Junior Olympics at Van Cortland Park in the Bronx. Two athletes qualified for the National Championships in Virginia.

Registration will be held at St. Patrick's parish hall on Saturdays, Jan. 10 and 17 from 9 a.m. to1p.m. Boys and girls in grades K through eight who live in Glen Head, Sea Cliff, Roslyn, Glen Cove, Locust Valley, Oyster Bay and other North Shore areas are eligible to join.

The season includes a uniform; spring season consists of up to six meets and weekly practices and the fall season is one meet and practices, and participation in cross-country (if interested).

For further information, call Gene Rooney at 671-0142 or email him at Susroon@optonline.net.

At this year's registrations the league will be collecting any old uniforms or old sneakers that are no longer used. They intend to gather the items and send them to youth who are less fortunate then our children. Please consider donating at registration.
