The Glen Cove girls JV tennis team has started the second half of the season on a high note. The girls battled to win their last two matches, improving their record to 3 wins and 4 losses. Bethpage and Valley Stream South were no match for the Big Red. New team members Christine Adams and Ashley Howard contributed to the winning streak. At third doubles, Adams and Howard were a dynamic duo winning 8-3 vs. Bethpage and 8-4 vs. Valley Stream South. Always consistent, Amber Solomito and Emily Natale continued their impressive play at second doubles winning their third match in a row. Solomito and Natale beat Farmingdale 8-5, Bethpage 8-3, and Valley Stream South 8-2 improving their record to 4 wins and 1 loss. Dynaah Letelier and Katherine Hayde pulled off a stunning comeback performance against Valley Stream South winning their match at fifth doubles 8-7. The JV girls look to continue their impressive season with just four matches remaining in the season.
