I wanted to follow up after hearing the great news regarding the recent approvals for the Glen Cove waterfront redevelopment. It is great to be a part of a community that will set an example for all of Long Island in terms of growth with a mind to the future, rather than the past. Something that I have noticed over the past year, and the past few months especially, is how many of my friends and neighbors have embraced the idea of this type of development in our city. Let's face it, the waterfront is a perfect location for an exciting new neighborhood, with beautiful buildings and waterfront parks. In addition to having a fantastic waterfront to visit, our city truly needs the economic infusion of tax revenue and additional residents to support our business. Kudos to the city for embracing progress - and let this set the stage for smarter growth across Long Island for the years to come.
