Tee off with the School for Language and Communication Development (SLCD) at its ninth annual Golf Outing on Aug.18 at 10 a.m. at the Creek Country Club in Locust Valley. _"We are excited to be able to organize this special day full of fun for all of SLCD's supporters," said Dr. Ellenmorris Tiegerman, president and founder of SLCD. "In the past, these golf outings have greatly helped contribute to the growth and development of SLCD and we know that this outing will be no different."_
All proceeds raised will go toward the expansion of SLCD schools in Glen Cove and Woodside. Registration and brunch for the outing begin at 10 a.m., along with an open driving range for all participants. The official shotgun time is at noon.
If you don't wish to be on the links, you can still join SLCD after the outing for the cocktail hour and steak and lobster fest. Guests will also be able to bid on a number of items in a silent auction and have the opportunity to win a variety of raffle prizes.
Tickets are $600 per golfer or $2,300 per foursome. Separate tickets for the steak and lobster fest are $200 per guest. There are a variety of sponsorship levels still available for interested companies and individuals. For more information, contact Laura Abrams at 609-2000 ext. 123.
