Jose Salinas Guerrero, of Glen Cove, died on June 9, 2008. Son of Leticia and the late Victor. Brother of Arely Salinas. Religious service held at the McLaughlin Kramer Megiel Funeral Home, Glen Cove. Interment LaLibertad, El Salvador.
Joan R. Hayden
Joan R. Hayden (nee Rothery), of Glen Cove, passed away on June 10, 2008 at age 91. She was born in Southampton, England, immigrating to this country in 1924. A graduate of Williamsburg High School in New London, CT, she graduated from St. Luke's School of Nursing, New York City, in 1939. She was married for 60 years to Dr. Charles W. Hayden, former chief of surgery at Glen Cove Community Hospital, where she served with distinction for over 50 years on the auxiliary. For 11 years, she was the volunteer town clerk of Lattingtown and was also active for many years on the board of the Visiting Nurse Association. She leaves children, Eric, Brian and Carol; grandchildren, Alex, Marielle and Jessica; and daughters-in-law, Tove and Lyn. Interment of her ashes will be at a future date in Locust Valley Cemetery. Frank Comitino, formerly of Glen Cove, died on June 11, 2008. He was a U.S. combat Army veteran of WWII. Husband of the late Sophie. Father of Nancy, Mary Ann and Frank. Grandfather of nine. Great-grandfather of six. Brother of Jimmy, Sal, Charlie, Rocky, Julia, Hilda, Rita and the late Dominick, Josie, Mary, Larry and Johnny. Entombment Holy Rood Cemetery. Barbara T. Ayers, of Old Brookville, died on June 15, 2008 at age 90. Wife of the late Dr. William B. Mother of William Ward, Jeffrey John (Ellen) and the late Barbara Lisanne. Grandmother of Alexandra, Barbara and Charlotte Ellen. Mass at St. Patrick's RC Church. Interment Locust Valley Cemetery. Arrangements made by Dodge-Thomas Funeral Home, Glen Cove. Michael Anthony Sita, of Glen Cove, died on June 17, 2008. Husband of Beverly. Father of David and Carrie. Brother of Angie. Also survived by his family, Rocco Comitino, Doreen and Steve Hauser and the late Ruth. Religious service at the McLaughlin Kramer Megiel Funeral Home, Glen Cove. Interment Pinelawn Memorial Park.
