Shirley C. Johnson (nee Cheshire) , 79, of Boynton Beach, FL, formerly of Sea Cliff and Riverhead, died on April 15, 2008. Beloved wife of John. Devoted mother of William (Christine) and the late Bruce. Cherished grandmother of Kimberly and Matthew. Loving sister of Carol Hartney (Richard). Also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends. A memorial service of her life will be held at 11 a.m. on June 28 at the United Methodist Church of Sea Cliff. Samuel Gray Jr., of Glen Cove, formerly of Oyster Bay, died on May 4, 2008 at age 55. Son of Martha and Samuel. Brother of Gary, Bobby, Yvonne and Kevin. Henry Francis Bartkowski, 82, died on May 6, 2008 at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Memorial Hospital, Lebanon, NH. He was born on Jan. 19, 1926 in Port Washington to Walter and Bernice Bartkowski. He joined the US Air Force and served in WWII. Following the war, he was employed as a telephone installer for New York Telephone.

Mr. Bartkowski married Mary "Pat" Lockwood on Aug. 16, 1947. Together, they moved from Port Washington to North Haverhill, NH, in 1983. He attended St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Woodsville, NH, and was a member of the National Rifle Association and the American Relay League.

He was predeceased by his siblings, Mary Borkowski, Eleanor Halufska and Frederick and John Bartkowski. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Pat Bartkowski of North Haverhill; two sisters, Gladys Pryzewski of New Hyde Park and Helen Walsh of New Port Richey, FL; and his brother Albert Bartkowski also of New Port Richey; and several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews and cousins.

Martha Raysor Powell, of Glen Cove, died on May 7, 2008 at age 88. Wife of the late John Henry. Mother of Sandra, the late William, John Henry Jr., Richard and Robert.
