The way the men's golf schedule worked out this year has the Vikings playing five consecutive home matches. Three of those matches took place before the April break and the Vikings took advantage. The team hosted Manhasset, Syosset and Friends Academy at the Glen Head Country Club. All three matches against the upper-level golf teams in Nassau County were close.

The Vikings were able to beat Syosset and Friends, but lost a tight match to Manhasset. The team was led by excellent shooting from Mike Curcio and John Pirozzi. The team is loaded with matches as it heads into the May home stretch of the season.

The North Shore boys lacrosse team had a successful week with two big wins over crosstown rivals Locust Valley High School and Friends Academy. The two victories bring the Vikings overall record to 6-4.

On Tuesday, North Shore put together a 6-goal fourth quarter to finish off a hard-fought game against Locust Valley 13-8. Junior attackmen Tommy Kilderry, Chris Dellavecchia and Keith Lopez led the Viking offense with three goals apiece. Rounding out the North Shore scoring were Taylor McGrath, Robbie Grabher, Pat McCann, and Ryan Crowley. Seniors Zach Venditto and Peter Volpe also played a big role in the North Shore offensive production. The Vikings traveled to Friends Academy on Friday and quickly found themselves in a deep hole trailing the Quakers 5-2 at the end of the first quarter. The defense, led by goalie Glen Gerbush, was able to regroup and held Friends to only two more goals in the final three quarters. Helping Gerbush on the defensive end were close defenders Matt Mead, Will Vallasiadis, Shaun Brala and Charlie Dunn. Midfielders Mike Lennon, Tucker Morgan, Mike Treco and Paul Wefer also put in great defensive efforts to put an end to the Quaker scoring. After stalling early, the North Shore offense was kick-started by a 6-goal second quarter to go into the half up 8-6. Kilderry led the offense with 4 goals while senior midfielder Taylor McGrath added 3 of his own. In addition to scoring twice, Grabher did a great job at the face-off X winning 11 of 18 for the Vikings. Finishing the scoring were Dellavecchia and Lopez, each with one goal.
