Glen Cove High School senior and boy's varsity soccer team captain German Parodis was recently named Most Valuable Player of the team. German is a member of the Red Devils Club soccer team, and is the second consecutive Red Devil to be team captain and MVP for Glen Cove High School. Two-time All-County winner Jose Alfaro was last year's recipient.

German was also selected to play in this year's Exceptional High School Senior's Soccer Game. The annual event matches the top high school senior soccer players from Nassau County with their counterparts from Suffolk County. The game has been a showcase for the Red Devils in the past two years, with six Red Devils playing in the prestigious event. German becomes the third from Glen Cove, following in the footsteps of Alfaro and Andrew Quinones.

Off the soccer field, German is a top student and is looking forward to playing soccer next year at the college level.
