The North Shore women's lacrosse team is looking forward to a successful 2008 season with the return of nine starters. The Vikings are led by seniors Lauren Beyer, Lauren Koslow, Sara Micelotta, Kaela McGilloway, Ashley Janelli, Devon Comito, Maggie Drowica, Kristin McCormack and Kristen Reynolds. The team possesses strength in the versatility of its players and their experience. Leading the team on attack are Kristin McCormack and Sara Micelotta while Kaela McGilloway, Devon Comito and Kristen Reynolds lead the team in the midfield. Goalkeeper Maggie Drowica will head the defense along with teammate Ashley Janelli. The Vikings are looking for strong support from Juniors Justyne Passarelli and Erin Tornatore. North Shore is ranked #6 in Conference 1.

The Vikings senior leadership is most evident on the defensive end with all four starters from last season returning in 2008. Goalie Glen Gerbush will be supported by defensemen Matt Meade, Shaun Brala and Will Vallasiadis. Seniors Matt Divincenzo and Charlie Dunn are also expected to make major contributions this year. Seniors will be leading the North Shore midfield as well. Taylor McGrath and Zach Venditto return, hoping to make their final season for the Vikings their most productive yet. Rounding out the strong senior midfield core will be Tucker Morgan, Mike Lennon, Mike Treco and Eric Gruebel. After very successful sophomore seasons, juniors Robbie Grabher and Keith Lopez will be providing added support at the midfield line. On the attack side of the field, the Vikings will utilize a variety of players to create offense this year, including seniors Peter Volpe, Ryan Crowley and Sean Duffy. Also looking to put points on the scoreboard will be a trio of juniors consisting of Tommy Destio and returning starters Tommy Kilderry and Chris Dellavecchia.

The North Shore High School boys lacrosse team invites all to come out and show support for the Vikings and would like to remind the community that the Annual North Shore Lacrosse Day will be held on April 12. Golf season was in full swing last week, and it almost felt like golf weather. With no snow in the forecast, something that has not happened in years, the team had the opportunity to be outdoors for the first two weeks of the season. The Vikings are looking strong this year as they return just about every starter from last year's team. This year's team consists of Dan Beiser, Jeff Borchert, Brian Broker, Mike Curcio, Vin Curcio, Peter Filippi, Matt Girschick, Tom Kim, Eric Michalak, John Pirozzi, Alex Recine, Brandon Robilotti, Andrew Valente, Russel Variale, and Jed Zeins.
