The Glen Cove Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce the first Shop Glen Cove Showcase, a community event aimed to bring local businesses and residents together. According to chamber president Gabor Karai, the evening will be an opportunity to help businesses gain new customers and help residents learn about local shops and services available to them. Shop Glen Cove will be open to the public and admission is free.

Mr. Karsai said, "During the showcase food will be served and a live band will entertain. Approximately 40 local vendors and businesses will exhibit and sell in the main hall and the entrance hall. There will be plenty of networking opportunities for everyone and prizes will be raffled off."

Chamber of Commerce executive director Phyllis Gorham said, "As the new executive director of the Glen Cove Chamber of Commerce, I am very excited to be part of the inaugural Shop Glen Cove Showcase. Shoppers and merchants alike will benefit, and that is what the chamber is all about - creating a connection between the city's businesses and the city's residents. It's a terrific event and one that hopefully will continue year after year."

The event will be hosted by the Webb Institute of Naval Architecture, one of Glen Cove's Gold Coast mansions. Shop Glen Cove provides a great opportunity for residents to walk through the mansion, do holiday shopping locally and support local businesses.

Shop Glen Cove will be held on Tuesday, Nov. 27 from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. The Webb Institute is located at 298 Crescent Beach Road. Call the Glen Cove Chamber of Commerce at 676-6666 for further information.
