I am glad for the opportunity to use this medium to extend heartfelt thanks to all those who supported the late Norman Kemmerer Dorf during his illness - through their prayers, visits, telephone calls, notes and cards, etcetera. I would also like to convey sincere thanks to everyone who provided assistance to me personally during the period following Norman's passing.
While it is not possible to thank everyone individually, I would like to extend special gratitude to Vivien Buckland, Irma Cerne, Sal Comitino, Wendy and Frank Csoka, Charles Fischer, Deedee and Joe Harrington, Linda and Doug Hollman, Louisa and Lenny Kaplan, Jeffery F. Kenney, Golda Kruss, Carol and Marc Mandel, Gilbert W. McGill, Catherine and Margaret Osmond, Jennifer Porter, Wanda Pryba von Kashub and Bill Kaufman, Johanna Roman and David Barish, Susan and Phil Scavone, Barbara Sears, Ann Sheridan, Sally and Brian Shore, Joan Stigliano, Nancy and Brian Strong, Marge and Joe Suozzi, Sharon and Bruce Thompson, Alice and John Vlcek, Susan and Jim Weisenfeld, neighbors, Dr. Vintila and the staff of Glen Cove Hospital and Cancer Center, community and commercial operators of Glen Cove, Locust Valley and Sea Cliff.
My deep appreciation also goes to all who made adjustments to their plans and traveled various distances to attend the memorial for Norman either in Princeton, NJ, and/or the one in Glen Cove on July 10 and August 11 respectively.
Norman's family and I thank Nassau County Executive Thomas R. Suozzi, and Ralph Suozzi, mayor of the City of Glen Cove, for taking time from their busy calendars to attend the Glen Cove memorial. We appreciate the remarks made by friends and associates who reflected on Norman's life on both occasions - including those from County Executive Suozzi.
I shan't forget everyone's thoughtfulness and kindness.
