Obituaries
Patricia Trainor, of Deerfield Beach, FL, formerly of Glen Cove, died on July 20, 2007. Loving and devoted wife of the late Robert Trainor. Loving mother to the late Gail Ranaudo (Lester), the late Robert Trainor and the late Thomas Trainor (Mary E.) of Glen Cove, and Carol Lemoine (Bob) of Deerfield Beach, FL. Also survived by many loving grandchildren, nieces, nephews and family. Services held in Florida. Lauretta P. Carney, of Fresh Meadows, NY, died on July 24, 2007 at age 78. Sister of William F. Carney, Jr. and the late Joan F. Rumpf. Aunt of Kathleen A. Capobianco (Joseph), Linda Smith of Bayville (Fred) and Dennis. Great-aunt of eight and great-great aunt of 12. Arrangements were made by the Funeral Home of Dodge-Thomas, Glen Cove. Mass at St. Dominic's RC Church. Interment Mount St. Mary's Cemetery.

William Edward Hutton passed away from natural causes on July 24, 2007. He was 100 years old and resided in Locust Valley. Mr. Hutton graduated from the Hill School, Class of 1926, where he served as trustee and chairman of the board of trustees for over 15 years. In 1930 he graduated from Harvard University where he was a member of the Fly Club. After a year of post-graduate study at Heidelberg University in Germany, he joined W.E. Hutton & Co. in 1932 in Cincinnati, at the firm started by his grandfather in 1886. In 1935 he moved to Detroit to manage the local branch office, and it was there that he met his future wife, Joan K. Chapin, whom he married in 1938.

After serving as a Naval Lieutenant Commander during WWII, Mr. Hutton moved his family to New York where he assumed the position of senior partner at W.E. Hutton & Co. He was a member of the NY Stock Exchange for 32 years, serving as governor for three terms and as vice chairman of the board for one term. In 1974, the firm merged with Thomson McKinnon, where he was vice chairman. Mr. Hutton continued with his career with several firms, and upon his death, he was employed as a stockbroker with Wachovia Securities, in Woodbury. He had been in the securities business for over 75 years.

During his lifetime he and his wife were members of several clubs most recently Piping Rock, Meadow Brook and the Links Club. They had a summer home in Nantucket where he was very active raising funds for Nantucket Conservation. Their winter home was in Antigua at the Mill Reef Club where he was club president for over 10 years. He was an avid golfer and served on the board of several New York charities, including the New York Botanical Garden as well as the vestry of Wall Street's Trinity Church.

Mr. Hutton is survived by his wife Joan C.; a son William E. Hutton III of Palm Beach; a daughter Inez C. Hutton of Nantucket and his late son Thomas J. Hutton. He is also survived by a grandson David William Coffin of Nantucket, and one niece and three nephews.

A memorial service is planned for Sept. 28, 2007 at 4 p.m. at St. John's of Lattingtown, Locust Valley. Funeral arrangements handled by Dodge-Thomas Funeral Home, Glen Cove. In lieu of flowers, family and friends may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or the New York Botanical Garden.

Robert F. Curran Jr., formerly of Glen Cove and Port Jefferson Station, died on July 25, 2007. Son of Tina and the late Robert Curran. Father of CheraLynn (Timothy). Brother of Paula (Mike) Ciampi, Harry (Barbara) Curran, Lewis Fagiola, Jr. and Michael (Lisa) Fagiola. Grandfather of Tyler John and Devon Taylor. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Arrangements were made by the Whitting Funeral Home, Glen Head. A funeral service was held at the funeral home. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery. Carlos Alberto Gonzales, of Glen Cove, died on July 26, 2006 at age 25. Son of Alejandro and Raquel. Brother of John and Alex. Grandson of Vicenta Moran and Alejandrina Castillo. Also survived by many cousins. Visitation at the Funeral Home of Dodge-Thomas, Glen Cove. Mass at the Church of St. Patrick RC Church. Interment East Hillside Cemetery. Victor B. Benham Jr., of Garden City, died on July 27, 2007 at age 87 after a long illness. Husband of Elizabeth. Father of David Benham, of Locust Valley, and Elizabeth Antonelli. Grandfather of Rebecca Duff, Victoria McFarlane, Stephen McFarlane, Tyler Benham and Clifton Benham. Great-grandfather of James and Matthew Duff and Mabon Benham. Former chairman of Victor B. Benham & Co., Ltd. a ship brokerage concern founded by his father in 1920 which he directed and helped in its expansion until his retirement in 1985. A private service will be held for family members. Arrangements by Dodge-Thomas Funeral Home, Glen Cove. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to: St. James Episcopal Church, Lake George, NY. Louis J. Bozzello, 83, of Glen Cove, died on July 28, 2007. A WWII Army veteran, he was a member of the Locust Valley Fire Dept. Husband of Doris (nee Lombardi). Brother of Phil, Josephine, Charles, Joseph, Dolly, Marion, Aggie and the late John, Tess and Teedie. Also survived by nieces and nephews. Arrangements were made by the McLaughlin Kramer Megiel Funeral Home, Glen Cove. Funeral Mass at the Church of St. Patrick. Interment Holy Rood Cemetery.
