Thomas R. McCarthy, retired lieutenant FDNY, of Glen Cove, died on July 5, 2007. Husband of Joan (nee Lutz). Father of Thomas M. and Michael C. (Kelly). Grandfather of Nicole, Collin and Patrick. Mari (Reukauf) Steeves, a 64-year resident of Tolland, CT, died suddenly on July 10, 2007 at home. Widow of William Steeves. She was a graduate of St. Lawrence University and a longtime employee of the Federal Reserve Bank in Windsor Locks, CT. She was a communicant of St. Matthew's Church in Tolland. Mari will always be remembered for her love of family and nature and her kind and generous spirit. She was a loving mother of Jennifer Baldwin (Mark), adored grandmother of Alexa Grace, devoted daughter of Hazel M. Reukauf. She is also survived by her brother William Reukauf (Diane), her sisters, Barbara Hedwig (Gordon) and Judith Wasarhaley (Brian), and many loving nieces and nephews. He was a retired sergeant with NYPD. Husband of Mary Ann. Father of Patrick (Emily), Brendan (Lisa) and Katherine. Grandfather of Liam, Joseph. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
