The North Shore men's lacrosse team, after narrowly missing the playoffs by one game in 2006, looks to make a return to them in 2007. The team is a true mix of the young and old. The returning juniors and seniors have been challenged by the coaching staff to use their experience to lead a group of underclassmen that have the potential to play a major role this season. The strongest unit for the Vikings this year may be the defense, which returns three starters: senior Sean Sears, junior Will Valasiadis, and junior All-Conference selection Matt Meade. Seniors Dan Grande, James Chow and Greg Ragusa, and junior Shaun Brala will also be large contributors on the defensive end. Both junior goalies, Glen Gerbush and Tucker Morgan, will see time in the cage. This year's midfield core will be led by returning starters senior Ronnie Irving and junior Taylor McGrath. Juniors Mike Lennon and Mike Treco will also look to be major contributors on the defensive midfield unit. Robbie Grabher and Keith Lopez return to the midfield for their sophomore season ready to make an even larger impact on the scoreboard and at the faceoffs. The attack will be the youngest group for the Vikings this year. With only two seniors, Joe Nakashion and Marc Kotin, returning, the coaching staff will look to sophomores Tommy Kilderry, Chris Dellavecchia, and junior Peter Volpe to lead the offense.
The North Shore men's lacrosse team is excited about the prospects of the upcoming season and invites you to come out and support the Vikings.
