Attempted Murder and Robbery on Glen Street
On Dec. 29, 2006 at about 2:30 a.m. three Glen Cove men were leaving the Millennium Bar at 59A Glen Street when they were confronted at knifepoint by two men who demanded money, reported Det./Sgt. Tom Fitzpatrick of the Glen Cove Police Department. He said the victims ran down Glen Street and into the alleyway near 19 Glen Street in an attempt to get away, but were overtaken by their assailants.

North Shore High School Viking Sports
The North Shore wrestling team had its first tournament of the season at South Side High School in Rockville Centre placing four wrestlers. Eric Gruebel placed fourth, Tom Boehm placed third, Joseph Denovellis placed third and Peter Griffiths placed fourth.

Glen Cove High School Big Red Sports
For Glen Cove High School senior Jamie Carlson, lacrosse has been more than a recreational activity - it has been her life passion. Since her eighth-grade year, Jamie has been a starting varsity goalkeeper on the school's talented team. Now in her senior year, Jamie has been a team captain and will help lead her peers as they travel to Disney's Wide World of Sports this spring.
