    While many witnesses believed the school itself was burning, the detective said that the fire was actually set in a large pile of roofing materials, stacked and ready to be used in repair of the middle school roof. FULL STORY

  • Sports: Summer Recreation at GCHS

    Glen Cove High School is offering a summer recreation program on Monday and Thursday evenings from Thursday, July 6 to Monday, Aug. 7 from 7 - 9 p.m. The program is open to all Glen Cove students in grades 7-12 and will consist of weight training, basketball, soccer, volleyball, badminton, lacrosse and wrestling. Instructors are Mr. Kopecky and Mr. Bullis. FULL STORY

    The Grasshoppers won the Midget Boys' World Series as Dom Gaudio hit his first season homer. Bryce Rubenstein added two homers as Eric Belyea hit a homer and three triples. Brian Shannon doubled twice for the Grasshoppers. FULL STORY
