The Cowboys beat a tough Rockhounds team, 15-8, behind a clutch two-run round-tripper by Hunter Fabini. Other hitters in the clutch for the Cowboys were Fernando Aguilar, Brett Bennett, James Adams, Randy Grandos, Justin Tovar, Corey Dinkins and Michael Payton...The Sidewinders got big hits from Matthew Ziegen (triple and two singles), Tommy Wilson (homer and two singles) and Justin Sobelman (triple and two singles) for a 16-10 win vs. the Biscuits...Connor Hehn had a banner day in the Bats 19-2 victory vs. the Dragons as he hit four homers for a total of six hits. Jerome Zenith had five hits as Nicholas Scarmato and Nick Kiaer (homer and triple) had three hits apiece. The Bats remain unbeaten (5-0) on the young season. Kiaer homered twice in the Bats 13-6 victory and added two doubles. Thorton Scott also homered twice as Hehn added a round-tripper for the Bats. The Bats also executed a rare feat in baseball-the triple play. The Thomas Dodge Orioles defeated the Tabosh Marlins, 12-0, last week to win their sixth consecutive game. Highlights included two homers hit by pitcher Sean Donovan and catcher Alex Aguilar. Joe Klaer hit a two-run triple and a two-run double by Donovan. Behind great pitching, the Orioles struck out 12 batters and the Marlins left five men on base without scoring. The Orioles are now 6-2 on the young season...Andrew Curiano (three hits) led the attack for the Manzione Dentistry Diamondbacks in a losing cause as the team lost 9-8 to the Konica Minolta Pirates. Dylan McKibbins added a triple and single and Matt Paulich had two hits in the game. The Diamondbacks made a comeback with a 15-5 victory vs. the Aboff's Paint Red Sox. Evan Pajuelo was on base four times with a single, two walks and a hit-by-pitch, and he scored two runs. Anthony Mariana scored three runs as Curiano doubled and singled twice to score two runs...The Pirates shut out the Angels, 9-0. Joshua Figueroa was 2-for-2 with three RBIs and three runs scored. Aydin Lynch was also 2-for-2 and had four RBIs and two runs scored. Raymond Salazar walked three times and scored twice for the Pirates. Lynch and Tyrone Perkins combined on a one-hitter and 13 strikeouts. The Glen Cove Teachers Association Cubs remained unbeaten with a 23-16 win. Nicole Alexander continued her home run streak, homering and adding three singles and a double in the process. Nicole Antoniotti allowed only two hits through five innings in the Telstar Indians' 26-5 drubbing of the AOH White Sox. Lauren Capobianco homered, singled twice and doubled for six RBIs. Sonia Canales singled, doubled and had five RBIs as Alisa Flores homered and singled for three RBIs.
