GC Residents, Business Persons, Developers Opine on Proposed Moratorium
It was a full house that showed up at Glen Cove City Hall on Tuesday, Feb. 14, but not everyone was carrying a Valentine. On the agenda was a public hearing on the city's proposal for a six-month moratorium on residential subdivisions, and it seemed everyone in attendance had an opinion. Mayor Ralph V. Suozzi, in speaking to the Record Pilot after the meeting, made it clear that Tuesday's meeting was just the beginning of the process.

As the Glen Cove winter track team sprints into the post season, there is great promise for success at the county and state level. Through hard work and dedication, four student-athletes have qualified to represent Glen Cove at the Nassau County Championship at Suffolk Community College. Danielle Silas, Mazar Thomas, Jose Alfaro and Megan Avram are among the brightest and most gifted athletes of Big Red's growing track program.

Glen Cove Anglers Celebrate Hook, Line and Sinker
The Glen Cove Anglers Club celebrated the exemplary fishing skills of their members during the club's recent annual awards night. Mayor Ralph V. Suozzi attended the festivities and congratulated the anglers on another successful year of not only fishing, but also numerous charitable works to benefit the children of our community.
