The New York Daily News 79th anniversary Golden Gloves Boxing will return to Glen Cove on March 3 at the Glen Cove High School. On the fight card for the evening are four Glen Cove Boxing Academy pugilists: Gary Grella, Kevin Murphy, Carlos Valle and Edwin Vazquez. The North Shore High School girls track and field team competed in the county "B" championship this past weekend at Suffolk Community College in Brentwood. There were some outstanding performances including eighth- grader Brianna Welch who placed first in the 600m, claiming her second consecutive County Championship in that event. FULL STORY
