    Detective Sergeant Tom Fitzpatrick of the Glen Cove Police Department has reported the arrest of four Glen Cove residents for their involvement in the stabbing attack of two Oyster Bay men on Glen Street last month. FULL STORY

  • Sports: St. Pat's CYO Track & Field Has Winning Season

    The St. Patrick's CYO Track & Field 2005 season came to an end on Father's Day at Mitchel Field at the Long Island Championship. Top runners from three regions compete to see who is the best of the best. Going into this years' championship, the St. Patrick's team had never won more than three medals. This year they placed 30 teams/individuals in the final to compete in over 100 events. Of the 30 events, the athletes earned six gold medals, nine silver medals and three bronze medals.   • Sports: Glen Cove Schools Announces Summer Rec Program

    The Glen Cove School District will offer summer recreation activities on Mondays and Thursdays beginning Thursday, July 7 and running through Monday, August 8 at the high school gymnasium from 7 to 9 p.m. Activities will include, but are not limited to weight training, basketball, soccer, badminton, wrestling, volleyball and lacrosse. Boys and girls entering seventh grade through 12th grade who are registered in the Glen Cove Middle School or High School are eligible to participate. Permission forms are on the district web site: Click on High School, Summer Recreation. Forms will be available at the high school during the program. All activities will be supervised by Glen Cove teachers/coaches and are subject to change. If you have any questions you can call the school district's athletic department at 759-7285. FULL STORY
