Joseph Moscarello, of Glen Cove, 94, died on Jan. 11, 2005. Beloved husband of the late Yolanda. Devoted father of Mary O'Brien (Edward) and Louis Moscarello (MaKyin). Olive M. (Maggie) Werkmeister passed away quietly in her home with her family at her side on Jan. 29, 2005. She was born Olive Marguerite McGahan of Brooklyn in 1914, to Marguerite and John McGahan. After her mother's death in 1916 she was raised by her father, a NYC policeman and Chief of Detectives in Manhattan. Maggie was married for 28 years to the late Harold Issing of Port Washington and 13 years to the late John D. Werkmeister, who died on 1984. Maggie was first a mother and wife, as well as Village Clerk of Baxter Estates, a real estate broker in Port Washington, and longtime volunteer and president of the Guild of St. Francis Hospital, Roslyn. She is survived by her daughter Barbara Van Riper of Glen Head; son Kevin (Martha) Issing of Canandaigua, NY; son Jon (Gail) Issing of Huntington; step-children, Diane (Dick) Davis of Franklin Lakes, NJ; Janet (Carl) Rathemacher of Lincroft, NJ; and John Werkmeister Jr. of Philadelphia, PA; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Arrangements were made by the Whitting Funeral Home, Glen Head. Funeral Mass at St. Mary's RC Church. Burial Nassau Knolls Cemetery, Port Washington.
